Buffalo Sabres 8, Carolina Whalercanes 1

Well, if you are a Hurricane fan, there was not much that went well. The Sabres scored early and scored often againts Canes backup goalie John Graham. The did not look anything like the team that got beat in North Carolina. Even Max had a great game, getting a goal and flying all over the ice. Of Course Ryan Miller gave up a goal with a couple minutes left to blow the shutout, but he does that pretty much every game that he has a shutout that late. So the Sabres are hot, but here comes the tough part. They have a west coast swing this week with games in Anahiem, LA and San Jose. It is hard enough for an east coast team to head to the west coast, but they have to play two pretty good teams. The Ducks have a bit of cup hangover, but they are still a very good team. The Sharks are one of the best teams in the NHL. Yeah the Kings are pretty bad, but it will still be a tough game and a very tough trip. If the Sabres can get 3 points I would call it a sucess.

And the best part, the Senators keep losing. Their lead over Montreal is down to three points and their lead over Buffalo is down to nine points. Yeah that is still pretty large, but it was seventeen points not too long ago.
